Rectangular Diamond Solitaire: Band and Setting Details
Share
This solitaire combines a rectangular center with a narrow polished band. The setting rises above the finger, and fine detailing along the band becomes easier to see in the side photographs. With few competing elements, the center’s outline takes most of the attention.

Confirm the cut rather than assuming it
The old title called this a baguette cut diamond. Its rectangular outline does not establish that label, and the visible facet pattern deserves a more precise item description. Ask for the diamond’s documented cutting style, dimensions, weight and available grading report.

Small band details change the look
The fine edge treatment gives the otherwise simple band a little texture. Look at the surface finish and how the shoulders meet the setting. Confirm the metal composition from the item record rather than identifying it by color alone.

Check the height on your hand
The open setting leaves room beneath the center, but it also raises the stone above the band. Try it beside a wedding ring, inspect the prongs and ask how the setting will work with your usual activities. Discuss any sizing before purchase.
