Rolex Day-Date: Patterned Dial and Gem Set Details
Share
A pale patterned dial, rectangular bezel stones and contrasting bracelet tones distinguish this Rolex Day-Date. Its day window sits at twelve o’clock, with the date at three. These close photographs offer several views of the watch’s decorative details.

Look closely at the dial
The surface has angular, intersecting patterns. The earlier description called it mother of pearl, but these photographs do not reliably establish that material. Confirm the dial specification through the reference and individual watch records before using that description.

The bezel and bracelet frame the display
Rectangular stones surround the dial, while the hour markers combine different shapes. The bracelet shows several metal tones in sunlight. Photograph color is not enough to identify the alloys, and the visible bracelet should not automatically be assigned a standard model specification.

Verify the individual configuration
Ask for the complete reference, case measurements, service history and details of any replacement or aftermarket parts. Confirm whether the dial, bezel and bracelet match the documented configuration. These checks are more useful than applying a current Day-Date’s movement or power reserve to an older example.
