Blue Richard Mille RM 07-01 Style: Reading Our Archive Photos

The Blue Outfit and Watch Combination
Our original RM 07-01 feature used lifestyle photographs of a light cased watch worn with a blue outfit. Those images remain the focus here: they show the watch as part of a complete look, with a handbag and other accessories, rather than as a technical product inspection.

Color Does Not Establish the Reference
A blue strap, a blue outfit and a blue ceramic case are three different things. These portraits do not give enough detail to establish the exact case material or edition. Avoid transferring a specification list from one RM 07-01 variant to another because their colors seem similar.

The Colored Ceramics Connection
Richard Mille’s current account of the Coloured Ceramics series traces its beginning to 2021. That history provides context for the original article, but newer editions should not be used as specifications for the watch in these older photographs. Reference and material details need to come from the actual piece.
Bring the Look Back to Fit
When considering a watch in this style, try the case and strap together. Check the clasp position, strap length and dial readability on your own wrist. Ask for the individual watch’s documentation and service history before treating a fashion photograph as a buying guide.
