Breitling and Bentley: Looking Back at Their Partnership

Breitling and Bentley’s partnership connected dashboard clocks with wristwatches inspired by motoring. This article looks back at that collaboration, which began in 2002 and ended in 2021, rather than describing an ongoing partnership.

Bentley’s August 2021 announcement traces the relationship to the clock developed for the first Continental GT, launched in 2003. It also records the final Bentley Breitling Tourbillon as the collaboration came to an end.

Different Watches, Different Proportions

The partnership produced a range of designs, so there is no single case size or movement specification that describes them all. The later Premier models offered a different visual approach from some of the larger earlier chronographs. Compare the exact reference rather than treating every Bentley related Breitling as a Navitimer.

Try the watch on rather than judging comfort only by its diameter. Case thickness, weight and the strap’s shape can change the fit considerably. Collecting interest is a reason to learn the history; it is not a guarantee of future value or current availability.
