Cuban Link Necklaces for Women: Scale and Styling
Share
A Cuban link necklace creates a continuous line of interlocking links around the neckline. The example toward the end of this gallery sits close to the neck and has small stones along its warm colored links. Its width gives it presence without needing a separate pendant.

Two different necklace looks
The first photographs show a horned mask pendant on a fine chain, worn with hoop earrings and other jewelry. That is a separate design from the Cuban link necklace. The original portraits are kept here as styling comparisons, with captions identifying each piece.

Choose the link width and length together
A shorter chain keeps the links near the collarbone. A longer one changes where the weight rests and how it works with a neckline. Try the necklace while sitting as well as standing, and check that the clasp is comfortable behind the neck.

Inspect the construction
Ask whether the links are solid or hollow, confirm the metal fineness and weight, and check how the links move. For a stone set chain, request the stone specifications and have the small settings inspected. Shine in a photograph is not evidence of a flawless grade.
