Diamonds and Donuts Toy Drive 2022: Love, Toys, and Soccer

When Santa Claus comes to town in Boca Raton, it’s no other than Diamonds and Donuts. And this Sunday, it was another edition of our Diamond and Donuts Toy Drive. As is with other editions before this, Diamonds and Donuts Toy Drive 2022 had more toys gathered than the previous edition.  Let's catch up on highlights from the Diamonds and Donuts Toy Drive 2022 that took place on Sunday, 18th of December, 2022. Spreading Love through Diamonds and Donuts

Remember, it's the Yuletide season; the season to show love, and spread happiness. For everyone at Diamonds By Raymond Lee, we got the memo and always deliver. One of our different ways to show love and share happiness every Christmas is through our Diamonds and Donuts events. And, the Diamonds And Donuts Toy Drive 2022 was another testament to the positive and exhilarating nature of this initiative.  More so, the sole beneficiary of the Diamonds and Donuts toy drive event is the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County. Hence, the success of the event for us is measured by the number of toys we get every year. Fortunately, the Toy Car Drive event always ends with tons of toys for the kids and many stunning supercars on display.  On Sunday, we had our usual array of classics and exotics like the Lamborghini Aventador and McLaren 720S’. Also, there was the massive presence of completely built, heavily molded JDM cars. Overall, you get to feed your eyes with super automobile luxuries and equally supermodels while contributing to a noble course. Finally, it was and will remain an event to anticipate every close of the year. 

The Nature of the Diamonds And Donuts Christmas Toy Drive

We began the Diamonds and Donuts Annual Toy Drive in 2016 after the launch of our latest state-of-the-art showroom, Diamonds By Raymond Lee. And since we began the events are free for everyone interested. In addition, we never swept aside the charitable aspect of these annual events. More so, since inception, our sole beneficiary remains the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County. 

• The Idea Behind Our Toy Drive Event

We partnered with the Boys and Girls Club for a few years. Over time, this partnership led us to see the reality of the Christmas experiences of these kids in Broward County. Unfortunately, these kids miss out on the true Christmas experience as they come from many underprivileged families that can’t afford the cost of their kids’ Christmas gifts.  So, in 2018, we decided to change our December Diamonds and Donuts Car Show into a Toy Car Drive. Now, with this new show (at the time), we adopted a free ticket policy as it still is now. We simply asked that everyone comes with unwrapped Christmas presents. With the incredible turnout we had, the Diamonds and Donuts community demonstrated their impressive generosity. There is no reason to stop this. Our Diamonds and Donuts Toy Drive event continued every year since then, with each year outperforming its previous edition. The 2020 edition was bigger than that of 2019 as 2021 also outdid the 2020 edition. And now, the 2022 edition of the event blows every previous year out of the water. In 2022, we received loads upon loads of toys from our lovely Boca Raton community. 

Introducing the Boys And Girls Clubs Of Broward County

There is a reason we offer our support to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County. So far, they remain one of the most active and promising non-profit organizations in the United States. This NGO provides kids with the right opportunity and freedom to attain their full prospects. The goal is to see them become productive, responsible, caring citizens eventually. Therefore, through leadership training, community programs, sports, and other activities, they keep kids off the streets and away from danger. More so, this NGO constantly teaches these kids and aids their growth as individuals in society. Eventually, this secures their success in the future and allows us to work on a stronger community for the next generation. With the Diamonds and Donuts Christmas Toy Drive, we can achieve our aim of giving the kids a memorable holiday. With these positive emotions come positive memories, which make a whole world of difference in the lives of these kids.  Overall, the Diamonds and Donuts Christmas Toy Drive rekindles the fire in the minds of these young children. We hope we can help them to develop and grow into the adults that society needs.

The Diamonds And Donuts Christmas Toy Drive 2022: Love, Toys, and Soccer

This year’s event enjoyed a large turnout which helped it surpass the expectations we all had. We had a garage filled with cars filled to the brim with unwrapped toys. Each participant in attendance had some toys to gift the kids.  Like last year, again, we had a participant with a Lambo Aventador who filled the trunk to the brim with various kinds of toys. Another attendee had her car filled with over 3 grand in toys for the kids. These gestures are not only lovely but they show the depth of benevolence residents of Boca Raton have.  More so, we cannot ignore a remarkable toy deposit this year. Another mimic of the last edition saw an attendee pack his Nissan trunk with toys for the kids till they overflowed. We respect this kind of donation from these Diamond and Donuts Christmas Toy Drive attendees.  For all of us, it was a heartwarming experience thanks to the kind-hearted guests present that day. At the end of it all, we had a bountiful heap of toys to sort. Once again, Santa Claus comes early in Boca Raton and in their numbers. Every toy gathered at the toy car drive goes to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County.

Taking the Diamonds And Donuts Christmas Toy Drive 2022 in Little Details

It was fun and all shades of love, and it's now over. Here is us taking a closer look at some of the major highlights. Which supercars graced our garage with their looks and toys? Who are the lovely models that blessed the party with their beauty? How did we enjoy the World Cup final at the event? Keep reading to find out!

• Supercars With a Dose of Santa 

It is a Diamond and Donuts ritual to always have the world’s nicest and sleekest cars in our garage. This year wasn’t an exemption. At one end, we had European supercars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren. The sports cars were also there with Mercedes AMGs and Porsche 911s giving us the chills.  Additionally, the pleasure of seeing sick American sports cars like the Corvettes, Ford GTs, and an insane Viper is thrilling. How about luxury cars such as Bentley and Rolls Royce? We had them all in our garage. There were Japanese race cars, the one-and-only GT-R, and classic Concours d’Elegance-worthy cars and trucks on display. It was fabulous.  Regardless of where you are or where you looked, there is a vehicle that will blow your mind. It felt like you needed to take a shot with every step you take. We allowed our guests to peruse these insane rides while discovering more about them. Every car enthusiast will see this as a huge miss! Meanwhile, it wasn’t only about beast rides. The Diamonds and Donuts Toy Drive 2021 recorded a new high with toys collected which is a remarkable achievement. Toys collected at the 2022 toy car drive, as it happened in 2021, doubled the number of toys we got in 2021. This new high means more toys go out to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County. That leaves us with more happy kids in Broward County this Christmas thanks to everyone that attended.

• The World Cup and Diamonds and Donuts

This year is a World Cup year and we sure accommodated the world cup festivities in our special event. For the 2022 edition on Sunday, we had a 20-foot screen outside showing the World Cup finale. So, every soccer lover at the event and those supporting either France or Argentina had a good view of the final match in an atmosphere of love.  Our guests appreciated the gesture as we all enjoyed a swell time with the breathtaking game the finale delivered. 

The Vehicles At The 2022 Diamond and Donuts Toy Drive

We had a ton of vehicles present at the Diamonds and Donuts Toy Drive 2022. Of these speed and aesthetic beasts, below are a few that stood out: 

• The Ford GT Carbon Edition Blue Handles It Best

It is known information that the Ford GT Carbon Edition Blue is arguably the best-handling hardcore supercar out there. Powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, this speedster can reach an incredible top speed of 216mph. This Ford GT vehicle is technically extraordinary, fun to drive, and an all-around knockout. This beast is a frequent sight in every one of our past Diamonds and Donuts car shows. We and our guests can’t get enough of this 2019 Ford GT Carbon Edition.

• No One Kills the Show like a Lambo Huracán Performante

Not many beasts can kill the show better than the bright green Lamborghini Huracán Performante. With an intense and powerful engine and dazing beauty, this vehicle was a thrill to everyone present.

• Fierce and Daring Like the Black Aventador SV 

Daring, fierce, and attractive, this vehicle is a real-life Batmobile. Here is your go-to ride to steal the spotlight always.  Whether at a standstill or high speed, this black Aventador SV always stands out with its signature fierce posture.  Powered by a V12 engine, this vehicle features Lamborghini’s Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) system. You can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. This vehicle produces a top speed of 219 mph. All these make this vehicle more of a legend and a sight we want a picture of always. Participants at the Diamonds and Donuts Christmas Toy Drive got a picture already.

• The McLaren 720s: A Lightweight Speedster

This vehicle is another one of our regulars at every Diamonds and Donuts car show. The McLaren 720S is arguably Britain’s most outstanding automobile output of all time. Here is a super light and super fast vehicle you just want to have an experience of.  You get that F1-like output on the street when you are driving the McLaren 720S.

• The Badass Green Dodge Viper ACR

With a snakeskin and a badass performance, the Dodge Viper ACR edition delivers a driving experience as badass as it appears. What fascinates us the most about this vehicle is that it’s a limited edition. Therefore, to have it at the Diamonds and Donuts Toy Drive 2022 was a privilege. 

Conclusion: Vote of Thanks and Delivery

We say a big thank you to everyone who brought toys and gifts for our Car Toy Drive. Not only will these toys get to the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, but this will be right before Christmas! We are only waiting for our chimney. Or how else does Santa appear? In the last three years, we ensured delivery of the toys to the Boys and Girls Clubs happened personally. The only difference was in 2020 with COVID-19. Hence, we had to make other arrangements for the delivery of the gifts.  We had some of the staff from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County get a van over. Then, we loaded the van up with all the toys we collected. These staff will present the gifts to the kids on our behalf using the vans. It was really exciting to see the kids get their toys on time.  Then, we made a few changes in 2021 and we will keep the trend this year. Ultimately, the gift gets to all the kids this week before Christmas and the excitement never wanes. Thank you to everyone involved in the planning, the event, and the distribution of the gifts. As a whole, we all just made many kids all around the city happy this Christmas season.  What does the next year have in store for the Diamonds and Donuts community? We can only wait to find out. For now, it's all love in Boca Raton.
