Emerald and Diamond Three Stone Ring: Setting Study
Share
A rectangular green center is flanked by two triangular pale stones in this three stone ring. The original feature identifies an emerald and diamonds. Additional accents continue into the shoulders, adding detail beyond the three main stones.

Three main stones, several supporting details
The triangular sides lead the eye from the broad center toward the narrower band. The front views show their different shapes clearly. Ask for the emerald’s weight separately from the diamond weights when comparing a similar ring.

The side views explain the height
The green center sits in a raised setting, with supports visible below it. The shoulders contain both rectangular and smaller bright accents. Those features affect comfort and how the ring will sit beside another band, so try the full design rather than judging it only from above.

Documentation and care
Request any emerald report and a written description of treatment, metal fineness and condition. A photograph cannot establish geographic origin or the amount of filling in a stone. GIA’s emerald care guidance cautions against steam and ultrasonic cleaning; ask a jeweler to inspect the actual ring and advise on care.
