Boca Raton Aquarium Archive: Fish and Display Details
Share
This photo story preserves an early look at the aquarium displays associated with Diamonds by Raymond Lee in Boca Raton. The original headline promised sharks and seahorses, but the photographs below show a different selection of fish and tank details. They are a record of the displays at the time, not a current exhibit list.

Look closely at the fish
The first photograph shows two small fish with bold dark stripes and extended fins. Their pattern stands out against the softer colors of the rockwork. The cover photograph presents a different fish with a yellow head and a long striped body. Looking at each image separately gives a clearer impression than a broad promise of particular species.

The setting around the display
The wider photograph includes reflections of the showroom as well as the aquarium. Blue light, pale gravel and branching forms create depth behind the swimming fish. The final image offers another view of rockwork under blue lighting.
