Tudor Black Bay GMT 79830RB: The Red and Blue Bezel
Share
The 79830RB at a Glance
Tudor’s Black Bay GMT 79830RB pairs a black dial with a red and blue bezel and a steel case. Introduced in 2018, the reference uses a 41mm case and Tudor’s automatic MT5652 movement. Its color combination gives it a familiar nickname, but the watch should be identified by its Tudor reference rather than described as a Rolex GMT model.
Reading the GMT Display
The additional hand works with the 24 hour scale to show another time zone. Before buying a GMT watch, ask for a demonstration of the crown positions and how to set local time and the reference time. The layout is most useful when you understand which display you want to keep unchanged while traveling.
Movement and Wearing Details
Tudor’s launch specification lists a COSC certified MT5652 movement with approximately 70 hours of power reserve. The gallery includes front, bracelet and profile views to help show the watch’s proportions. Bracelet length, clasp condition and the way the case rests on your wrist deserve attention alongside the movement specification.
Verifying an Older Example
A serial prefix alone should not be used here to declare a particular production year. Check the warranty card, reference and service records for the actual piece. Confirm any recent timing or water resistance checks rather than assuming an older watch still meets its original rating. The photographs show past inventory and do not establish current availability.
