Marquise Diamond Ring: Pointed Shape and Accented Band
Share
A long marquise center gives this diamond ring its pointed silhouette. Small round stones accent the narrow shoulders, leaving the center as the main feature. The photographs show its profile as well as the view from above.

Length and width affect the look
Marquise diamonds can have noticeably different proportions. Ask for measured length and width alongside carat weight, and compare the stone in more than one lighting condition. The shape alone does not establish a clarity grade or a particular level of brilliance.

Look at the pointed ends
The ends of the center need appropriate support and protection. Check the prongs and have a jeweler inspect their condition before regular wear. The side photographs also show how high the stone sits above the band, which matters for comfort and contact with clothing.

Confirm how far the accents continue
The visible shoulder stones do not prove that diamonds continue around the entire band. Ask to see the underside before calling it a full eternity design. Confirm ring size, resizing options, metal fineness and whether a companion wedding band can sit comfortably beside it.
