Blue Dial Omega Speedmaster: Moonphase Style and Fit
Share
The blue dial is the first thing you notice in these Speedmaster photographs. In direct light, the surface becomes brighter and more reflective. At an angle, it turns deeper and the pale hands stand out more clearly.
The pictured watch is a Moonphase design, recognizable here by the moon display near six o’clock and the two large counters. It should not be described simply as a standard three counter Moonwatch.

Choose the Color in Ordinary Light
Compare the dial indoors as well as outside. Strong reflections can change how easily you read the hands and calendar. If blue is the reason you are choosing this watch, see how the dial, bezel and strap work together on your wrist.
The stitched dark strap gives the case a softer visual edge than a metal bracelet. Check its length, condition and clasp comfort rather than assuming any replacement strap will fit correctly.

Match the Specifications to the Watch
Ask for the exact reference, available records and service history. Blue Speedmasters are not all the same model, and specifications from one version should not be applied to another because their colors match.
The Speedmaster name’s space history is not a guarantee that every model is suitable for every environment. Water exposure and care should follow the individual reference’s instructions and current condition.
