Round Diamond and Blue Sapphire Halo Engagement Ring
Share
A narrow blue halo gives this round center a crisp outline. The original feature described the ring as platinum with a 2.50 carat round brilliant diamond and a sapphire surround. These archived photographs show how the colored border, smaller accents and decorated shoulders work together.
Diamond Center, Sapphire Halo
Diamond and sapphire are different gemstones. The center and surrounding blue stones should be described separately, rather than calling the ring a sapphire diamond. GIA explains that sapphire belongs to the corundum family and occurs in several colors. Here, the blue surround provides contrast around the bright center.

Look Beyond the Top View
The side photographs show a raised center and open gallery beneath the halo. That height affects how the ring sits beside a wedding band and how easily it passes under gloves or a sleeve. The small stones along the shoulders also deserve attention when comparing the ring with a simpler solitaire.

Confirm the Details of the Ring You Choose
The archived weight is not a current grading report. Ask for the center diamond's measurements, color, clarity and origin, along with identification and treatment information for the sapphires. Carat weight alone does not determine the diameter or value of a diamond.

Try the ring beside the band you plan to wear, and check comfort between the fingers. Contact our Boca Raton team to ask about current halo rings or a similar diamond and sapphire design.
