Diamonds and Donuts: Our 2020 Holiday Toy Drive Recap

A Holiday Gathering in Boca Raton

Our December 2020 Diamonds and Donuts toy drive brought car enthusiasts and donated gifts to the Diamonds by Raymond Lee showroom. The original recap reported our largest toy collection to that point, nearly double the previous year’s collection. That is part of the event’s own record, not an independently audited total.

Gifts for Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County

Guests were asked to bring unwrapped presents. The recap described plans for Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County to distribute the gifts during the week before Christmas. Staff collected the toys in a van, with delivery arrangements changed that year because of COVID 19. The article recorded the planned distribution; it did not provide a later delivery report.

Thank You to the Co Sponsors

The original event recognized RE/MAX Advantage Plus, Salvage to Savage, Boca Wrap Pro, The Auto Toy Store, Superior Street Syndicate, Delray Beach Podiatry, Signature Autohäus, Crazy Uncle Mikes, Strive Fitness Boca Raton and Boca Scooters. We also thank the guests who brought toys and helped make the collection possible. These acknowledgments describe the 2020 event rather than a current sponsorship arrangement.

Cars and People from the Day

The gallery preserves sports cars, classic vehicles, showroom scenes and the people who helped create the event. Ford GTs, Corvettes and other distinctive cars gave visitors plenty to discuss. The original recap also thanked its participating models and Julia’s Garage. Captions describe what is visible without assigning unverified performance figures or rarity claims to the cars.

An Event Archive

This is a record of a past holiday gathering. Its collection dates, sponsors and gift arrangements should not be read as instructions for an upcoming toy drive. Contact the store for current event dates and donation details. All of the original photographs remain below, including the toy collection and loading scenes.
