Diamond Set Rolex Datejust: Two Tone Styling
Share
This archived Rolex Datejust combines warm metallic accents with extensive gem setting. Roman numerals remain visible against the bright dial, while the bracelet alternates warmer central links with lighter outer sections. The cover photograph is the original image for this feature.
What the photograph shows
The stone set bezel gives the watch a broader visual outline than a plain bezel. The dial, case and bracelet add further sparkle, so the overall effect depends on more than the case diameter alone. The original article described a 36mm watch; the photograph does not independently establish that measurement or the complete reference.
Separate the model from the modifications
Before comparing an example with another Datejust, confirm the case reference, metal, dial and bracelet configuration. Ask whether the diamonds were set by Rolex or added later, and request documentation for any modifications. A photograph cannot establish diamond grades, the total stone weight or factory originality.
Fit and condition
Try the actual watch to assess bracelet length, clasp operation and how the case sits on the wrist. Have the settings and movement checked, and request the appropriate operating instructions for its reference. Power reserve and water resistance should not be assumed from the Datejust name.
