Iced Out Rolex Datejust: Roman Numeral Dial Details
Share
Warm colored Roman numerals stand out against the bright dial of this Rolex Datejust. The original photographs show it on the wrist and on a display cushion, with stones across the bezel, case and portions of the bracelet.

The bezel is part of the design
The pictured bezel is stone set. Describing it as a standard fluted bezel would not match the photographs. The date magnifier remains visible at the side of the dial, while the warmer central bracelet links contrast with the lighter outer links.

Readability and wrist fit
A heavily decorated dial can look different under direct light than in a display photograph. Check how easily you can read the hands and date, and try the bracelet for fit. Look at the watch from a normal viewing distance as well as close up.
Ask about the configuration
Confirm the reference, case size, metals and original dial configuration. Ask whether the gem setting was done by Rolex or added later, and request documentation of any changes. The photograph does not establish the stone grades, metal fineness or current service condition.
