Diamond Set Rolex Day-Date: Dial, Bezel and Bracelet Details
Share
Blue Roman numerals stand out against the bright dial of this Rolex Day-Date. Diamonds also cover the bezel, case and bracelet, giving the familiar day and date display a very different appearance from a plain metal example.

More than one stone shape
The photographs show small round stones across the dial and surrounding surfaces, with elongated baguette stones in the bezel and bracelet. Calling every stone pavé misses that contrast. Pavé describes a setting arrangement of closely placed small stones; it is not a diamond cut.

Factory or later gem setting?
The original feature describes white gold but does not establish a complete reference or the origin of the gem work. Photographs cannot prove that diamonds were fitted by Rolex. Ask for a written description of any later modifications, the original configuration and available service records. That information matters when comparing prices and arranging future service.

Look beyond the sparkle
Check whether the day and date can be read easily, whether the bracelet fits comfortably and whether the clasp closes securely. A jeweler should examine the stone settings, while a watch specialist checks the movement and operating functions. Visual brightness does not establish diamond grades or mechanical condition.
