Vintage Rolex Daytona: Contrasting Dial Photo Study
Share
This archived Rolex Daytona has a pale dial, three contrasting black counters and red details around the outer track. A black tachymeter bezel surrounds the dial, while a metal bracelet completes the watch. The original article presented it as a vintage example.

Look at the side views
The angled photographs show the crown, chronograph pushers and case profile. They are useful for understanding the physical design, but they do not establish the exact reference, year or originality of individual parts.

The dial deserves close inspection
The final image shows the counter markings, red Daytona lettering and outer scale in greater detail. A familiar dial style is not proof of provenance or a particular collector nickname. For an actual purchase, ask a qualified specialist to assess the dial, hands, bezel, movement and case together.

Records matter with vintage watches
Request reference and serial information, service records and a written description of any replacement or restored components. Condition should be assessed individually, including the bracelet and clasp. Age alone does not guarantee rarity, originality or future value.
These photographs preserve a watch from an earlier feature. Contact Diamonds by Raymond Lee for currently available Daytona watches and their documentation. Do not assume an older watch is suitable for water exposure without a current professional assessment.
