Rolex Sky-Dweller on a Leather Strap: Dial and Calendar
Share
The black leather strap gives this Rolex Sky-Dweller a different appearance from versions on a metal bracelet. Its dark dial, fluted bezel and pale 24 hour disc create strong contrast. The date window sits under a magnifier at three o’clock.

Read the two time displays
According to Rolex’s Sky-Dweller overview, the central hands show local time while the off center 24 hour disc provides a reference time. That arrangement lets a traveler compare two time zones on the same dial.

Understand the annual calendar
The Saros annual calendar distinguishes months with 30 and 31 days. It requires a date correction after February, on March 1, rather than functioning as a perpetual calendar. Small openings around the dial indicate the month. Use the instructions for the particular reference when setting the watch.

Check the strap and individual reference
The photographs show a textured black strap, not a leather bracelet. Confirm its material, condition, fit and whether it is original or a replacement. Also verify the watch’s reference, metal and service history; the light colored case alone does not establish white gold or steel.
