Selling Your Rolex: Understanding the Offer
Share
Before asking how much your Rolex is worth, decide which value you mean. A retail asking price, an insurance replacement figure and an offer to buy your watch today are different amounts for different purposes.

Purchase offer, trade credit and consignment
An outright purchase offer states what a buyer is willing to pay under the agreed conditions. A trade may combine that allowance with the price of another watch, so compare the total transaction rather than the allowance alone.
Consignment uses an asking price and a contract governing the eventual sale. Subtract the agreed commission and expenses when estimating your proceeds, and allow for the possibility that the watch may not sell within your preferred timeframe.

What helps the evaluation
Bring the watch, spare bracelet links, service records and any original accessories. Explain known repairs or modifications. Dial and bezel changes, bracelet condition and the specific reference can matter more than a broad model name.
Missing papers do not automatically prevent an assessment. Equally, having papers is not a substitute for examining the watch. Ask what remains uncertain if the initial estimate was based only on photographs.

Before accepting
Confirm whether the amount is final, what it includes and whether any work or fees will be deducted. Ask about the available payment arrangements and keep the agreed terms with your sale records. You can compare another offer or choose to keep the watch.
Our Boca Raton watch buying team can discuss your piece after evaluation. Same day offers and immediate payment options are available following assessment and agreement; confirm the arrangements for your transaction with the team.
