Rectangular Diamond Ring with a Hidden Halo: Setting Details
Share
The center stone in these photographs has an elongated rectangular outline with clipped corners. Although the original title called it square, the visible proportions tell a different story. Small diamonds sit beneath the center in a hidden halo, with larger round stones along the band.

Outline and grading description
A photograph can show the general outline, but the exact cutting description and measurements should come from the diamond’s report. Do not assume a clarity grade, carat weight or natural origin from appearance. Ask to match any report to the actual stone.

See the hidden halo from the side
The side views reveal the narrow row of stones below the center and the open supporting gallery. Unlike a halo that frames the center from above, this detail is most noticeable in profile. The raised mounting also affects how the ring fits beside a wedding band.

Try the complete setting
Check comfort between the fingers, the clearance beside another band and whether the center catches on clothing. Stones continue around the band in these views, so ask about sizing limits before buying. More diamonds do not eliminate the need to inspect prongs and supporting metal.
