Rolex GMT-Master II: Gem Set and Numbered Bezel Styles
Share
The two GMT-Master II styles in this archive share the familiar additional hand and date window, but their bezels and bracelets give them different personalities. The first has extensive gem setting; the later photographs show a separate watch with a numbered red and blue bezel.

Color through stone setting
Blue and red stones frame the first watch’s dial. Small bright stones also cover the dial, case details and central bracelet links. The warm metal provides a contrasting background. Confirm whether this work is factory original or a later modification before comparing it with another reference.

A numbered bezel offers a different display
The second watch has clearly visible 24 hour bezel markings and a red additional hand. Its bracelet uses smaller central links than the first example. A photograph can show those differences without establishing the complete reference or movement.

Buy by reference and condition
Ask for service history, bracelet measurements and instructions for the actual watch’s time zone functions. Do not apply one power reserve or accuracy specification to every GMT-Master II generation. Compare current offers for documented examples rather than relying on old prices or a blanket promise of appreciation.
