Cartier Roadster: Case Shapes, Dials and Buying Details
Share
The Cartier Roadster has a curved case outline that stands apart from the square Santos and rectangular Tank. This archive brings together several Roadster examples with different dials, straps and levels of decoration.

Follow the shape of the case
The case curves outward through the middle and narrows toward the strap or bracelet. The date magnifier and crown add to the distinctive profile. Look at the side as well as the front to judge how the watch sits against the wrist.
Separate chronograph and simpler versions
The gallery includes watches with smaller chronograph displays and others with a simpler dial. Those layouts do not share one set of operating instructions. Confirm the reference and functions of the individual watch before comparing specifications.

Compare straps and bracelets
The warm metal example on a brown strap creates a different effect from the steel colored bracelet versions. Check the attachment, fastening and fit. Ask whether the fitted components are correct for the reference and what replacement options are available.

Look at the dial and bezel carefully
Roman and Arabic numeral layouts appear in the archive, along with a gem decorated example. Ask whether the dial and any gem setting are factory supplied or later modifications. Photos alone cannot settle that history or establish the materials used.

Buy according to present condition
Have a specialist check the movement, crown, date operation and any chronograph controls. Request service records and an explanation of replaced parts. Confirm water resistance for the actual watch before exposing it to water.
This gallery is an introduction to the Roadster’s visual range. It does not establish current stock, identical specifications across the examples or the authenticity of any watch without further inspection.
