Sapphire and Diamond Three Stone Ring: Design Details
Share
A colorless oval center sits between two blue stones in this ring. Curved split shoulders sweep around the three settings, giving the design movement without a surrounding halo. The original article discussed sapphire cluster rings; this gallery is more specifically a three stone design.

Color contrast is the focal point
The two side stones appear different shades of blue in these photographs. Lighting and viewing angle can change their appearance, so compare them together in person. Ask for the identity of each stone and any known treatment information rather than identifying a gem from its color alone.

Check the construction from the side
The side view shows the raised stone settings and the plain lower band. Look at how the curved shoulders meet the center and try the ring on to judge its width. A wedding band may sit differently against curved shoulders than against a straight band.

Keep the specifications separate from the photographs
The earlier title named white gold, but the pictured metal has a warm appearance. Neither the title nor the photograph is enough to establish its composition. Confirm the metal fineness, individual stone descriptions and any available reports through the ring’s records.
