Rolex Pearlmaster: Bracelet Design and Buying Questions
Share
The Pearlmaster is associated with Rolex’s jewelry focused watch designs. Its name also refers to a distinctive bracelet: Rolex’s Pearlmaster brochure describes rounded five piece links introduced in 1992 for the Pearlmaster. That date should not be confused with the launch of the Lady-Datejust.
A note about these photographs
The original article used the same patterned dial Datejust seen in another archive feature. We have kept those photographs, but they do not establish an exact Pearlmaster reference or its specifications. They are illustrative views of a Rolex dress watch, not identification evidence for a particular Pearlmaster.

Identify the specific example
Before buying, confirm the full reference, case size, metal, bracelet and dial configuration. Ask whether any gems or components were added or replaced after manufacture. A model family name is not enough to determine the watch’s size, movement or originality.
Fit and condition
Try the bracelet and clasp, check the available links and review any gem settings. Ask about service history and current water resistance testing rather than relying on an old model rating. A dress watch photograph cannot show the state of its seals.
