Paraiba tourmaline is among the rarest gemstones on earth. Discovered in the late 1980s in the Brazilian state of Paraíba, these stones owe their electric blue-green glow to trace amounts of copper, a phenomenon found in virtually no other tourmaline on the planet. At 19.58 carats, certified by the GIA under certificate number 2547742106, this center stone is a genuinely exceptional specimen. Stones of this size and saturation rarely appear on the open market. The color is vivid, immediate, and entirely natural.

The mounting does full justice to the stone. A double halo of white diamonds surrounds the Paraiba in a bezel-style setting, with intricate open-work filigree visible on the reverse, the kind of detail that signals handcraft and serious goldsmithing. A pear-shaped diamond connector bail flows into a diamond-set wheat and laurel link chain carrying an additional 6.23 carats of round brilliants.
