Gem Set Rolex Deepsea: Blue Dial and Bezel Details
Share
Blue stones around the bezel echo the blue dial in this archived watch feature. Clear stones break up the color, creating a pattern that looks quite different from a conventional numbered dive bezel.
The dial visibly reads Deepsea as well as Sea-Dweller. Those markings matter: this gallery should not be described using the specifications of a standard 43 mm Sea-Dweller.

A Closer Look at the Design
The rectangular bezel stones form a continuous border around the dial. Broad hands and circular, rectangular and triangular hour markers retain the layout associated with Rolex diving watches. The surrounding inner ring and large case give the face a layered appearance.
The bracelet is comparatively plain. Its broad metal links create a quiet area beneath the more decorative bezel, which helps keep the blue color concentrated around the face.

Gemstones and Diving Specifications
The original article described sapphires and diamonds, but the photographs cannot verify stone identity, treatment or factory origin. Request the setting history and gem documentation for any comparable watch.
A decorative stone bezel should not be described as a graduated dive timing instrument. Likewise, a depth marking on the dial is not proof of a modified or preowned watch's present water resistance. Have the actual watch assessed before water exposure.
