Ruby and Diamond Ring Designs: A Photo Gallery
Share
The ruby and diamond rings in this archive take several different approaches to framing a red center. Some use a close halo, while others spread decorative lines across the finger. Comparing the photographs side by side makes the settings easier to distinguish.

Heart and oval outlines
The heart shaped design follows the center closely with a bright border. The oval ring gives a longer outline, with diamond accents extending toward the shoulders. These shapes can look different on the hand even before size and setting height are considered.

A broad decorative top
The wider ring creates a more substantial surface around its red center. Notice how much of the design comes from its surrounding metal and smaller stones. Check the edges and underside in person to judge comfort and to see how the top is supported.

Flowing metal changes the frame
The final design uses curved lines and warmer colored metal around the stone. Its open spaces create a different effect from a close halo. These photographs illustrate appearance; they do not establish gemstone origin, treatment, metal fineness or grading.
