Tanzanite is one of the rarest colored gemstones on earth, found in a single square mile of northern Tanzania at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. At 3.75 carats, this cushion cut center stone is a genuinely significant specimen. The cushion shape suits tanzanite particularly well, drawing out the gem's signature trichroic character — the way it shifts between violet, blue, and burgundy depending on the light and angle.
