Paraiba tourmaline is one of the rarest gemstones on earth. First discovered in the Brazilian state of Paraíba in the late 1980s, these copper-bearing tourmalines produce a neon blue-green glow unlike anything else in the mineral kingdom. A fine Paraiba at even one carat commands serious attention at auction. At 15.79 carats, GIA-certified, this stone is extraordinary by any standard.
The 15.79ct center is surrounded by 5.79ctw of pear-shape diamonds that radiate outward from the stone like a crown, with 0.90ctw of round brilliant diamonds completing the composition.
