The Santos Demoiselle is one of Cartier's most enduring feminine expressions, descended directly from the original Santos — the watch Louis Cartier designed for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont in 1904. Where the original Santos was bold and masculine, the Demoiselle ("young lady" in French) softened the geometric case proportions and scaled everything for a smaller wrist, making it one of the house's signature jewelry-watches.
