The Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea, reference 116660, is one of the most technically ambitious watches the brand has ever produced. Introduced in 2008, the Deepsea expanded the Sea-Dweller concept to its extreme conclusion: a water resistance rating of 3,900 meters (12,800 feet), achieved through Rolex's proprietary Ring Lock System, a triple-sealed crown, and a 5.5mm-thick sapphire crystal that withstands the pressure differential at extreme depth. The 44mm Oystersteel case is significantly larger and thicker than a standard Sea-Dweller, giving the watch an unmistakable presence on the wrist that communicates exactly what it is capable of. The Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert resists scratching, fading, and UV discoloration in a way no aluminum insert can match, and it will look identical in twenty years.

This example arrives with its protective plastic still intact on the bracelet clasp area, a clear sign the watch has seen very little use since it was purchased. The matte black dial carries luminous index hour markers and matching Mercedes hands, giving the watch strong legibility in low light.
