The Rolex 79174 is the two-tone Rolesor variant of the ladies 26mm Datejust, pairing Oystersteel with 18k yellow gold on both the fluted bezel and the five-piece-link Jubilee bracelet. Introduced in the mid-1980s and produced through the early 2000s, this reference sits in the classic era of ladies Datejust production, before Rolex transitioned to the 179174. The "T SWISS MADE T" designation visible at the dial's six o'clock position marks this as a tritium-lume example, produced prior to 1999's industry-wide shift to luminova — a subtle but meaningful detail for collectors who track the evolution of the Datejust line.
This particular example presents beautifully. The blue sunburst dial is clean and vibrant, with index hour markers in yellow gold that complement the two-tone case perfectly. Light service wear is visible on the bracelet links and clasp plate, consistent with a watch that was worn and enjoyed — nothing that detracts from its overall presentation. The case retains its original shape well, and the green Rolex caseback seal is still intact. Coming with the original Rolex box, handtags, and undated papers, this is as close to a complete late-1990s set as you will find for this reference.
