Recap: Huge Turnout for the 2020 Diamonds and Donuts TOY DRIVE Car Show!
Our annual Diamonds and Donuts Toy Drive Car Show took place this past Sunday and WOW was it a great one! The turnout was absolutely massive. We collected more toys than any of our previous toy drives, which is an absolutely incredible feat. In fact, we collected almost double the amount of toys as last year. All of these toys will be handed out to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County this week. There are going to be a lot of happy kids in Broward County this Christmas!
Below, we are going to briefly go over our Toy Drive, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County, and all the wonderfully generous people and businesses that made this possible. After, we are going to show you some highlights from the Toy Drive, which means CARS, CARS, and more CARS…oh, and let’s not forget about our beautiful Diamonds Girls too!
ABOUT THE DIAMONDS AND DONUTS ANNUAL TOY DRIVE
Our Diamonds and Donuts Car Show has been running for a few years now. Pretty much since we opened our new state-of-the-art showroom, Diamonds By Raymond Lee, back in 2016. All of the Diamonds and Donuts Car Shows are free to the public and have some form of charitable aspect, with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County being the primary organization for our eleemosynary efforts.
Having worked with the Boys and Girls Club for a couple of years, we became aware that a lot of kids in Broward County were not getting the Christmas they deserved. There are many underprivileged families that can’t afford to buy their kids Christmas presents. So, in 2018, we decided to turn our December Diamonds and Donuts Car Show into a Toy Drive. Like always, the car show was to be completely free. All we asked was that everyone brings unwrapped Christmas gifts. The turnout was fantastic. The generosity of the Diamonds and Donuts community shone through.
Since then, we’ve run our Diamonds and Donuts Toy Drive annually. 2019 managed to be even bigger than 2018. And now, 2020 blows both years out of the water. We were able to collect, almost literally, tons of toys.
BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS OF BROWARD COUNTY
We support the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County because they are truly one of the best non-profit organizations in the country. They give kids the chance to meet their full potential as productive, responsible, caring citizens through leadership training, community projects, and sports and activities. They keep kids off the streets and out of trouble, while constantly teaching them and helping them grow. Ultimately, this ensures their success in the future and it helps us build a stronger community for the next generation.
With the Diamonds and Donuts Christmas Toy Drive, our aim is to give the kids a holiday to remember. These positive emotions create positive memories, and that can make all the difference to the spirit and mindset of young children as they develop and grow into adults.
TOYS ON TOP OF TOYS!
As guests started rolling in, we knew this was going to be a big one. Many cars were packed full of unwrapped toys. Every single person who came brought some toys for the kids. It’s amazing to see how kind-hearted everyone is.
What we were left with is a bountiful pile of toys!
All of these toys will be passed out to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County this week.
Normally, we would load up our armored truck and personally hand out the gifts to the kids, but due to COVID-19, we made safer arrangements with the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County.

Of course, we also want to give a huge thanks to everyone who brought unwrapped gifts for the kids. Without all of you, none of this would be possible. We are so very grateful for each and every one of you.
Lastly, shout out to the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, for keeping the state open! The Diamonds and Donuts Car Show gave everyone a wonderful sense of normalcy during a time when things are far from “normal”.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 2020 DIAMONDS AND DONUTS TOY DRIVE
Now, let’s take a closer look at some of the cars that showed up, as well as the lovely models who blessed the party with their beauty.
As always, we had the world’s finest and coolest cars in attendance. We are talking about European supercars from the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren. Sports cars like Mercedes AMG’s and Porsche 911’s. Sick American sports cars, namely new Corvette’s, Ford GT’s, and an insane Viper. Luxury cars such as Bentley and Rolls Royce. Japanese race cars, viz. the one-and-only GT-R. We even had classic Concours d’Elegance-worthy cars and trucks on scene. It was truly marvelous. Everywhere you looked was a vehicle that you felt like you need to take a picture of. Guests got to peruse the cars and learn all about them. For car lovers, it was paradise.
Here are a few of our favorites cars…
FORD GT
Arguably the best handling hardcore supercar in the game right now – the new Ford GT. It has a twin-turbocharged V6 engine capable of reaching a mind-boggling top speed of 216mph.
The Ford GT is technically wonderful, brilliant to drive, and an all-around beauty.
FORD GT CARBON EDITION
If you’ve been to our past Diamonds and Donuts car shows, then you’ve seen this beast before. It is a 2019 Ford GT Carbon Edition, owned by our good friend Larry Coe. We simply can’t get enough of this carbon-fiber rich blue GT.
LAMBO HURACÁN PERFORMANTE
Not many cars stand out like a Lamborghini Huracán Performante. In bright green, and on the road with its engine blaring, that intensifies tenfold.
BLACK AVENTADOR SV
If you thought green was badass, black is almost scary. This is a real-life Batmobile. An absolute showstopper both at a standstill and high speeds, and when we say high speeds, we are talking insane numbers. The V12 engine features Lamborghini’s Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) system. It is capable of a 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 219mph.
Sadly, this breed of Lamborghini may soon be extinct. The future is showing hybrid versions of the Aventador (coming 2022). This is likely to be among the last of the “old-school’ supercars that we know and love, which only makes this car more of a legend.
MCLAREN 720S
Here’s another one of our Diamonds and Donuts regulars – the McLaren 720S. This is arguably Britain’s greatest creation of all time. The car is super light and super fast. You can’t help but have F1-like performance on the street when you are driving the McLaren 720S.
GREEN DODGE VIPER ACR
The Snakeskin Dodge Viper ACR edition is hard-core. It drives as badass as it looks. The best part is, only a few dozen were produced. So, it is always an honor to be in its presence.
FERRARI 488 PISTA
This is the supercar for the most classy of gentlemen. The Ferrari 488 Pista is the stuff supercar dreams are made of.
Besides its stunningly elegant and sophisticated design, it amazes with its ability to punch out 720 cv at 8000 rpm, granting it the best specific power output in its class at 185 cv/l.
CORVETTE C8
The new Stingray gave us a change people can’t stop talking about. The incredibly famous American sports car now has a mid-engine configuration, which takes its performance to the next level and propels the Corvette into the ranks of the Supercar giants like Ferrari and Lamborghini.
You can read more about this Corvette and other’s here – Diamonds and Donuts’ Corvette-only Car Show
CORVETTE C7 WITH A NEW WRAP
We, of course, had a few more Corvette’s at the Toy Drive. This particular C7 has a super dope wrap, which was just done prior to the car show. We couldn’t keep our eyes off it.
PORSCHE 911 TURBO
The Porsche 911 Turbo is one of the most classic and fashionable sports car that exists. If you like to ride in style, while also having the ability to crush the street, this is the car. It has power, balance, grip, acceleration, feel, style, sound…pretty much everything.
PORSCHE 718 CAYMAN
The 718 Cayman is another classy and gorgeous Porsche creation. It’s not as fast as the Porsche 911, but the Porsche 718 Cayman is lighter, and most importantly, mid-engined. As such, it drives magnificently.
AUDI R8
The Audi R8 is another testimony to the fact that extreme power and elegance can go hand-in-hand. This mid-engine, 2-seater, all-wheel drive sports car defines both high-performance and style. It is easily one of our favorite cars out of Germany.
CLASSICS
We had a couple classics at the toy drive as well. It was really cool to see the contrast from the old to the super new. The history of cars is simply astonishing.
MODELS
We had 6 lovely models to help us with the car show. There’s no better combo than beautiful cars and beautiful girls.
Héléna Sophie Héroux
The lovely Héléna posing next to the Cayman. Héléna goes to Savannah College for art and design.
Grace Lopez
The beautiful Grace Lopez in all-black striking a pose next to the all-black Aventador. The two make for an absolutely stunning pairing.
Jennifer Kiernan
Jennifer Keirnan looking absolutely breathtaking as always. After all, you are looking at Miss Mississippi Brasil USA 2018 and Miss Elegance Brasil USA 2019 🤩
JULIA’S GARAGE
We told you Julia Rose Stallone would make it and she did! It’s always an honor to have Julia with us. Not only is she gorgeous, but she is a true car nut. She collects classic and antique cars. Julia has a 73 Camaro, 72 GMC Jimmy, 68 Charger, 48 Chevy 3100, 86 Jeep CJ7 mudtruck, 39 Suburban, and, of course, the 62 Chevy C10 (which she calls “the Big Boy”) that you see here.

TOY DELIVERY – THIS WEEK!
For the past two years, we personally delivered the toys to the Boys and Girls Clubs. However, with COVID-19, we had to make other arrangements this year. Some of the staff from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County brought a van over and loaded it up with all the toys. They will present the gifts to the kids on our behalf. We are really excited for the kids to receive their toys. They will be handing them out to all the kids this week before Christmas.
We just want to give another big BIG thanks to everyone involved. We are so thrilled with the turnout. Together, we all just made a lot of kids happy this Christmas!
