Diamonds & Donuts: Our Spring 2020 Event Plans
Share
In spring 2020, we published an update about how Diamonds & Donuts might return during the pandemic. It discussed smaller gatherings, more communication and ways to share events online. This page preserves those plans as part of our history; it is not the current event schedule or entry policy.
Smaller Gatherings Were Proposed
The original plan considered private events focused on particular interests, such as supercars, imports or Teslas. Fewer cars and guests were intended to make the format easier to manage. These were proposals, not proof that every proposed event later took place.
The post also discussed advance registration, spacing and cleaning arrangements. Those details reflected the period in which it was written. We have removed guarantees that the format would be completely safe.
Keeping People Connected
We planned to share photographs, recaps and more video so people who could not attend could still follow the car community. Live streaming was an idea to test, rather than an established service promised at every event.
The photographs below came from our car show and jewelry archive. They show the community and cars we hoped to bring together again, not a record of one newly approved event.
The May 11 Showroom Update
A later addition to the article announced that the showroom reopened on May 11, 2020, with appointments requested. It also described outdoor appointments and curbside repair arrangements then available. Those historical service details should be checked with the showroom before planning a visit today.
Our Community Message
The original message thanked our guests, employees, families and neighbors for their support. That sense of connection is the part of the story we want to preserve. For current gatherings, use fresh information from our team rather than the dates or proposed procedures in this archive.
